Open events, student invitations and lesson imports

    Published Aug 25, 2026

This update makes several commonly used workflows faster and clearer. Open events are easier to schedule, student invitations can be sent all at once and lessons can now be reused from across the institution.

Create and schedule open events more quickly

    • Create and edit from a dialog. You no longer need to go to a separate page for an open event or open lesson. You can stay in the events overview while making changes.

    • Clearer recurring schedules. Easily choose how often an event repeats and see exactly which dates will be created before saving.

    • Edit existing events too. You can add a recurring schedule to an event that has already been published, or change the pattern for future occurrences.

    • The past remains unchanged. Changes to a recurrence do not affect events that have already passed or their linked recordings.

    • Restrict an event to specific programmes. Open events no longer always need to be available to the entire institution. You can now link them to one or more programmes.

    Save student invitations as drafts

    • Add students without sending an invitation straight away. You can first save a student as a draft and send the invitation later.

    • Send invitations all at once. Select multiple students who have not yet received an invitation and send all invitations at the same time when you are ready.

Reuse lessons from across the institution

    • Import existing lessons into scheduled programmes. When building a programme, you can now reuse lessons from other programmes, previous start dates and archived programmes.

    • Find what you are looking for faster. Search takes differences in accents and punctuation into account and highlights matching text immediately.

Improved sign-in via your own domain

    • Go straight to the right environment. When someone signs in via your institution's main domain, they are now automatically directed to the correct dashboard. If they have access to multiple organisations, they can first choose the right organisation.

    Further improvements

    • The lesson list within the content of a scheduled programme is once again fully scrollable, so all lessons are always accessible.

Modular courses, online sales and accounting

    Published Aug 24, 2026

Modular courses, online sales and accounting

This update makes it possible to offer and sell courses more flexibly. In addition to scheduled courses and self-study courses, you can now also work with modular courses, where students can take individual modules and expand later. Sales, VAT processing and accounting now support this as well.

    Modular courses

    • Offer courses by module. Institutes on Growth or higher can split courses into separate modules, each with its own price. Within a single course, you can combine self-study and scheduled classes.

    • Students do not have to take the full course straight away. A student can start with one module and add additional modules later. Everything remains part of the same course and enrolment.

    • Create different learning paths. With tracks, you can determine which combination of modules belongs to a particular learning path.

    • Define when a course is completed. For example, you can set all modules as mandatory, or require a student to complete a certain number of modules from the available selection.

    • Manage access after completion. Set whether and for how long students retain access to their course material after completing a module or course.

    • Keep control over diplomas and certificates. Staff members decide when a certificate or diploma is issued. A diploma is never awarded automatically.

    Product catalogue and online sales

    • More ways to sell courses and modules. You can offer fixed packages, let students build their own package, provide access to a complete offering or work with credits for a specific selection.

    • Set volume discounts. Let the price change automatically when a customer purchases multiple products or modules.

    • Define when a product is available. Products can be offered only during a specific period and can easily be set as active or inactive.

    • Sell directly through a public shop. Courses, modules and other products can now be selected and paid for online. Free enrolments can also be processed through the same shop.

    VAT and accounting

    • VAT is automatically applied to purchases. Academqo uses your institute's VAT rate by default. When a product requires a different rate, you can configure this separately.

    • Existing orders remain administratively accurate. The VAT rate is stored with every purchase. As a result, changing your VAT settings later does not affect orders already placed.

    • Modular courses and self-study courses are also included in accounting. These sales can be included in accounting exports to Moneybird, Exact and e-Boekhouden.

    • Refunds are processed correctly. When issuing a refund, the corresponding credit note can be included in your accounting.

One workspace for all course types

    • Scheduled, self-study and modular courses now work in the same way. This makes it easier to manage different types of courses side by side.

    • Every course follows the same steps. A course moves from draft to ready, after which it can be published.

    • Participants retain the correct course content. When you make changes to an edition later, existing participants continue to use the version they started with by default. If needed, you can move participants to another edition yourself.

    Further improvements

    • Amounts with cents are now displayed correctly everywhere, including when the amount ends in a zero, such as € 290.40.

    • Texts and labels for scheduled, modular and self-study courses have been better aligned between Dutch and English.

Open Classes, Screen Sharing, and Improved Search Function

    Published Aug 04, 2026

    New Features

    Open classes and events

Educational institutes with a Growth subscription or higher can now organize open classes and events for students, staff, or both groups. Think of program introductions, information sessions, and Q&A sessions.

These activities don’t need to be linked to a specific class and can be scheduled as one-time or recurring events. They can take place on location or via a live online session. Any available recordings can be viewed afterwards.

Open classes and events automatically appear in the calendars of administrators, teachers, and students.

    Screen sharing in live classrooms

Hosts and participants on stage can now share their screen during a live session. This allows presentations, demonstrations, and other content to be shared directly with all attendees.

    Archive programs and alumni access

Programs can now be archived without losing historical data. In addition, it's possible to offer paid alumni access, allowing former students to retain access to learning materials.

    Faster search within Academqo

The general search function in the admin dashboard, teacher portal, and student portal is now faster and more intelligent.

Users can search for programs, classes, and people, among other things. The search now also provides improved suggestions when a search term is misspelled. Results are always tailored to the user's permissions and access levels.

    Improvements

    • The live classroom has a clearer layout. The raise hand feature responds more quickly for hosts, and recordings now play directly within Academqo.

    • Date and time fields have been replaced with more user-friendly calendar pickers, adapted to Dutch and English language settings.

    • Verification codes for two-factor authentication automatically receive focus and are sent immediately once the full code has been entered.

    • Mobile controls have been improved. The sidebar now closes automatically after navigating, and form fields work better on iOS.

    • Classes and open events have been grouped under Scheduling in the admin menu.

    • Key pages now load faster, making Academqo feel more immediate and responsive.
